The Foundation is building and enriching a true network of private partners – including innovative small and medium-sized businesses, as well as major companies – in conjunction with the laboratories of its founding members. In so doing, the Foundation is continuing the efforts of Pierre-Gilles de Gennes, by:
• Facilitating the conversion of discoveries into innovative applications
• Conducting research projects characterized by excellence

For industrialists

The Foundation:
• Allows access to a pool of high-level researchers
• Simplifies the administrative aspects of public-private projects
• Serves as a facilitator for shared projects
• Provides security for the acquisition of proofs of concept
• Offers three sequential stages for the secure establishment of partnerships

For academic researchers :

The Foundation:
• Invests 2.5 million euros of its own assets each year in original research projects proposed directly by the researchers themselves
• Offers an alternative source of inspiration for handling challenges, such as exploring the sometimes hard-to-reach scientific area of industrial know‑how, and working alongside industrial partners
• Facilitates the administrative management of projects, and finances them in a responsive manner
