A foundation in the service of partnerships

Dedicated to industrialists and academic researchers, the Foundation launches public-and-private research projects and facilitates the transformation of discoveries into innovative applications.

Accordingly, from now until the year 2012, the Foundation will invest its seed capital of 20 million euros in the financing of research projects.  Thereafter, it will ensure its ongoing activity through the implementation of “discovery and development partnerships” in the public-private sector.

A strategy

The Foundation turns to companies and researchers within its network in order to:
• Bring together knowledge and know‑how
• Create new research topics
• Simplify the administrative maze
• Offer responsiveness and flexibility with regard to initiative.

A laboratory of ideas

The Foundation combines the full potential of the ENS, the ESPCI, and the Curie Institute for simplified access to all of the fields of expertise associated with this level of scientific excellence –  from clinical medicine to theoretical physics, and from chemistry to molecular and cell biology

A well-designed organization

In guiding its activities, the Foundation relies on an executive team that comes from the world of small and medium-sized businesses, and a responsive and practical-minded steering committee.
